Clinic Tasks · Part of Viali

Every task has one person in charge

Tasks are created where the work shows up — on the board, in the patient record, in the chat. The Team column says: nobody has taken this yet. If that stays true, Viali escalates on its own.

    Capture

The task is created where the work shows up

A column on the board, your own list, the "New task" dialog, the patient record, a chat message, the pre-op overview: in six places a title is enough. A "#" links a patient or a surgery, an "@" assigns it, and camera, photo library or document attaches the evidence right away.

    From the chat

    A message becomes a task

"Please reorder dressings" is buried in the chat within two minutes. One click on the task icon turns it into a personal task — visible in your own list, not on the board, with no deadline and no escalation until it is handed to the team.

    Ownership

The Team column says exactly one thing

It says: nobody owns this task yet. Dragging a card into a person's column or typing "@" assigns it; the new owner hears about it immediately in the app and by email, with title, deadline and who assigned it. Assigning a task to yourself sends nothing.

    Working it

Open, working, done — and reassign instead of letting it sit

Three states, and a task needs no more. When the owner is no longer the right one, the task is reassigned — optionally with a short reason in the detail view, with none when dragged on the board. High priority marks the card without changing the deadline.

    Escalation

Nobody has to keep deadlines in their head

Four working hours after creation with nobody in charge, Viali reports the task to clinic management — far earlier than the standard three-working-day deadline. At the deadline the owner hears about it, 24 hours past it management as well. An ignored task surfaces before it becomes a problem.

    Personal

Your own list stays your own

Personal tasks never appear on the board and never escalate. They are visible to the owner and to whoever created them — so a personal note can be placed straight into someone else's list. Only "Hand to the team" turns it into a task with a deadline.
