The perioperative workflow, end to end
Pre-operative assessment & risk scores
Structured anamnesis, ASA classification, allergies, airway assessment and fasting status. Clinical risk scores (STOP-BANG, Caprini, RCRI, Apfel) are calculated from the documented answers and recorded in the chart, together with the result of the outpatient criteria. The decision stays with the physician.
Intraoperative anaesthesia record
A continuous timeline chart of vital signs, medications, ventilation, events and scores on one shared time axis — the classic anaesthesia curve, digital. Material consumption included: drugs and material from the record are proposed to the inventory as used and booked with one click.
Automatic device data binding
Vital-sign monitors and ventilators are read automatically — values are written into the record continuously, timestamped, with no manual transcription. Serial and video-capture connectors are supported.
See supported devices and pricingPost-operative orders
Medications, monitoring, labs and tasks are entered as structured orders with dosing, timing and PRN/conditional logic. Reusable templates and natural-language paste speed up entry.
Discharge medications & prescriptions
Discharge medication, prescriptions, dispensed and home medication with route, frequency and quantity. Controlled substances are signed; labels and prescriptions can be printed.
The complete patient record
A single perioperative patient record with a clinical snapshot, documented risks and allergies, documents, appointments and history.
A digital patient path: from booking to the recovery room
What the patient does before surgery is already in the anaesthesia record.
- 1
Online booking (optional)
When the clinic switches it on, the patient books the pre-op consultation online: with a named doctor, or in a consultation room (e.g. the anaesthesia consultation) that whoever is on duty takes. Video appointments are possible too.
- 2
Online questionnaire
The medical-history questionnaire goes to the patient automatically by text or e-mail. The answers appear right in the pre-op assessment.
- 3
Consent signed online
The patient reads the information and signs the consent on the phone; a representative can sign if needed.
- 4
Reminder before surgery
Admission time and fasting rules arrive by text or e-mail.
- 5
Patient portal
One personal link: date, admission time, place and type of anaesthesia, information sheets, document upload (e.g. lab results) and add to calendar.
- 6
Anaesthesia record in the OR
Vital signs automatically from the monitor or by camera, drugs and times with one tap.
- 7
Recovery room
Handover, recovery documentation and discharge in the same system, without paper.
At a glance
Viali is a documentation system. It replaces neither the patient monitor nor the physician's clinical judgement, and it gives no therapy recommendations.

Perioperative Risk, in Plain Sight
Patient safety is the first principle of anesthesia. Viali's new risk grade keeps the documented risk data in view in the daily workflow — from pre-op through PACU.
One anaesthesia team, many practices — a single plan
How an anaesthesia service runs every partner practice from one Viali tenant — the practice submits its operating day by link, staffing is ranked by commute time, and countersigned hours become the monthly statement.
