Your clinic website is not a brochure: why it belongs to the core business
For a private clinic, revenue starts on the website. So it must be connected to booking, measure every channel and be changeable without a technical person.
TL;DR
A clinic website is where most treatments start: ads, treatment pages, booking, questionnaires, surgeon reservations. It must book straight into the clinic calendar, store the marketing channel of every booking and be simple enough to change without a technical person. Viali builds such websites on Replit, from CHF 20 per month.
A website that is only there
Most clinic websites were built once by an agency and hardly touched since. A new treatment, a new doctor, a changed price: every change is an order, a quote and a wait. Online booking is an embedded third-party system, and enquiries land by email at the front desk, where somebody types them in again.
So the website becomes a mirror of the clinic as it was two years ago. It is there, but it does not work with the clinic.
The website is where revenue starts
For a private clinic, nearly every treatment starts online: a patient sees an ad, reads the treatment page, books a consultation. A visiting surgeon reserves OR time. A patient fills in the questionnaire before the procedure.
These are not marketing steps next to the operation. They are the operation. If the website is not connected to the clinic software at these points, three problems follow:
- Double work. What was entered online is entered again in the calendar.
- Wrong information. The website offers slots on a closing day, or a price that no longer applies.
- No overview. Nobody knows which ad led to which surgery.
Three requirements for a clinic website
1. Connected to the clinic's workflows
Online booking books straight into the calendar, with free times in real time. Closing days come from the same system and appear on the website automatically. The questionnaire, the OR reservation for visiting surgeons and the portals lead straight into the clinic software instead of into a mailbox.
2. Tracking per marketing channel
The website has to know where a booking comes from. For every booking Viali stores the ad click ID, for example Google's gclid or Meta's fbclid, and follows the case: appointment, attendance, surgery, payment. So per channel you see what it costs and what it brings back. More: why most clinics have no idea if their ads are working.
3. Dead simple to change, no technical person needed
A clinic website changes all the time: offers, team photos, opening hours, new treatments. If every change needs a technical person, the website stands still. We build the websites on the Replit platform. There your team describes the change in the AI chat in plain language, checks the result and publishes it. If you do not want to do it yourself, send us the change and we make it.
Being found — on Google and in AI assistants
Patients search on Google and more and more ask AI assistants. So the websites get structured data, a sitemap, hreflang for every language and an llms.txt for AI assistants. We check them with Lighthouse and keep improving them with the data from Google Search Console, Analytics and Ads.
Two examples
- Privatklinik Kreuzlingen: plastic and aesthetic surgery, online booking straight into the Viali calendar, blog and treatment pages.
- Swiss Central Clinic: private day clinic in Zurich, seven languages, patient questionnaire, OR reservation for visiting surgeons and a portal for external staff straight in Viali.
Measured with Lighthouse on 27 September 2026: Best Practices 100 on both websites, desktop performance 99 and 100.
What it costs
Running costs start at CHF 20 per month. We quote the build per clinic, depending on scope, languages and content. Everything else is on the clinic websites page.
